This is The Grace’s first Korean album. I have no idea why it took them so long to release this album. I mean, it’s old now. But from their debut as a group, it took them aaageess to release this. It was definately worth the wait. What’s really annoying though, is that I was going to order all of their singles and albums [The CD + DVD Versions if I can] and buy them. Well, since I live in England, the payment methods are awful and I have to be flipping 18 to make a paypal account. ¬_¬. Only 1 and a half more years to go. -_-
Well anyway. I love this group so much. They’re so talented and pretty! My favourite member is Stephanie and least favourite is Dana. And no, Stephanie is not my favourite because she’s such a good dancer [though that's part of it], if you watch them perform on stage, Stephanie always tries the best and is the best to watch. Similarly, Dana is my least favourite because she tries the least when performing on stage. I still love them all though.
Anyway. Enough with that mini-rant. Here’s their album =D
-
Track 1 - Hanbeon Deo, Ok?. I love this track so much. It’s amazing. Sunday doesn’t have enough solo parts, but I think they all do so amazing in this track. It’s really upbeat and so different to every other song on the album. It starts off with a brilliant beat and then starts with Lina singing - after they all sing “yeah, yayeeyeah yeah” =D An amazing song. Like seriously. I mean it.
-
Track 2 - Girl Talk. This is a very fun pop song. I actually didn’t like this so much at first, but after watching a great performance on stage singing this live, I really liked it. It’s got an upbeat beat. For some reason, the melody at parts sounds really familiar. I wonder if they’ve used a tune from another song or something.
-
Track 3 - Girl Talk Interlude. This was just them talking - in Korean of course, so I couldn’t understand anything. I wish I knew what they were saying >.<, but they sounded really happy and as if they were having fun =D.
-
Track 4 - Sweet Emotion. It starts off so lovely with Sunday’s soft voice. It has a really relaxed beat. I don’t like the chorus though - at all. But it’s okay apart from that.
-
Track 5 - Heart Break. A ballad. Very nicely sung by the girls. I just love it when Sunday sings her solo parts in all of their ballads. Her voice is so soft and amazing! A very nice ballad over all.
-
Track 6 - Renew. This is such a nice song. There’s a very nice beat to it, and the girls all sound amazing together when singing the chorus. It’s quite upbeat and I can imagine listening to this on a rainy day - It’s like a feel good sounding song. I don’t actually know what they’re singing about, but it’d be funny if they were singing about something bad. But from the track name, ‘Renew,’ somehow I don’t think that they are. =)
-
Track 7 - April Fool’s Day. I really like this track. It’s got such a lovely tune to it. It starts of with Dana, and the track is quite simple at the beginning. When Sunday starts singing, a well heard beat kicks in with the percussion. It especially sounds amazing when they sing the chorus together at the end. I guess they’re really trying to encompass their name, ‘The Grace’ by putting all these ballads in the album. I’m not complaining though =D. Though they should have more songs like Hanbeon Deo, Ok?.
-
Track 8 - Dancer In The Rain. Just when I’m kind of getting tired of the ballads - this comes in. This track is so amazing! It has an amazing beat, it’s an amazing song and they all sound amazing! I really liked this song after listening to the MP3, I didn’t like it when I first heard when I watched the video. The video is quite busy. But this is seriously one amazing dance track.
-
Track 9 - Not To Be. This has a good beat to it and starts off really well. I’m not so fond of this track though.
-
Track 10 - Just For One Day [Ft. Super Junior's Kyu Hyeon]. It starts of with a really cute melody. The Kyu Hyeon starts singing. His voice sounds so nice on this track. It really compliments the girls voices. Despite they all sound great, I’m not that fond of this song. The chorus is nice though.
-
Track 11 - Tonight Is On Me. This has a weird dance beat to it in the background. I really dislike this song, and is definately my least favourite song on the album.
-
Track 12 - Dancing Queen. This has an amazing start to it. This is them singing acappella, trying to get their image away from their more R&B/Dance look they usually have. Sunday has an almost flawless English accent. It sounds so polished! She sounds the best on this track by far.
-
Trac k 13 - My Everything. I love this song soooo much. >.<. It’s just not funny. It’s my hands down favourite Korean song. It’s also my favourite The Grace song [naturally]. They sound so lovely in this! Especially Sunday ^_^. I don’t understand why they gave the ending line, “And you always be my all, my everything” to Dana. She has the worst English accent of them all. They shouldn’t have given it to Stephanie or Lina; Stephanie has too deep a voice and Lina’s isn’t soft enought to end on. They should have given it to Sunday. But oh well, Dana sounded amazing too ^_^. When I looked at the lyrics to the song, there was a grammer error with the song, they sing, “And you always be my all, my everything.” It should be “And you’ll always…” Not the first error that I’ve noticed. Gosh, I’m so picky. O well, that’s me.
-
Track 14 - Boomerang. This song, and the next one, ‘The Club,’ were actually bonus tracks to the album. ‘Dancer In The Rain’ was to be their official second single to this album. That’s why ‘Too Good’ isn’t included in the album. I like this track. It has a really catchy beat, but I couldn’t listen to it over and over again. Their voices are very high on this track in the chorus. It gets quite repetitive after a while.
-
Track 15 - The Club [Ft. Rain]. You can definately see how much their voices have matured from this song to the other tracks on this album. Lina’s voice really suits these type of songs. It’s a good track. I don’t think that Rain complimented them though. I thought he sounded quite retarded really. I’ve never listened to his music though, but when he has his American debut later this year, [if he actually goes through with it] then I may buy his music. Since it’ll be in English, I’ll raid my music stores to see if they’re stocking it. Anyway, this track really gets repetitive after a while. But it’s still a good dance track.
